ADR 0008 — 2C$ Meta-Synchronic Teleoethics Framework
Context
Airic Easm shared a document titled "2C$" on Meta-Synchronic Teleoethics applied to regenerative community design. The document proposes a self-sustaining BioArcology-EcoPermaculture model structured as an RV campground + co-op farm + bodega. The most novel element is the philosophical synthesis — toroidal dynamics, fractality, egregore theology, Timewave Zero — mapped onto concrete engineering and governance frameworks.
This ADR evaluates each philosophical element for use in RegenTribes architecture work.
Decision
Adopt toroidal dynamics and fractality as grounded design patterns. Reject Timewave Zero as a planning assumption. Bridge egregore theology to the Field of Trust framework via measurable indicators.
Toroidal Dynamics — APPROVED
What it is: A topology for self-sustaining resource loops. What comes in, circulates, exits cleanly.
Why it works: Already used in permaculture guilds, water cycling, and some DAO token flows. Grounded, observable, testable.
Application: Resource loop design for regenerative communities. Data loops. Energy loops. Governance feedback loops.
Fractality — APPROVED
What it is: Self-similar structures at every scale. The same governance loop at household, village, bioregion.
Why it works: Connects to Ostrom's work on commons governance. Multi-scale commons design is well-documented.
Application: Governance recursion. The same accountability loop at every layer of the community structure.
Timewave Zero — REJECTED
What it is: McKenna's novelty theory based on I Ching hexagram sequences.
Why it fails: Not falsifiable. Cannot be tested or surprised. A framework that cannot be wrong is a story, not a planning tool.
Decision: Treat as texture only. Do not use Timewave Zero as a planning assumption or decision input.
Alternative: Use observable, falsifiable acceleration metrics instead. Patent filings. Compute cost curves. Adoption rates.
Egregore Theology — CONDITIONAL
What it is: Collective consciousness as a real emergent entity formed by shared belief and intention.
Value: Narrative identity for the collective. Something members can orient around.
Risk: Can become mythology masking extraction.
Decision: Accept as narrative layer. Connect to Field of Trust (Vic Desotelle's framework) which has measurable structure (5 indicators, hologram principle).
Bridge: Egregore = narrative identity. FOT = measurable indicators. Combine: measure what you narrate.
Four Distinctions — REQUIRED ADOPTION
What it is: Vic Desotelle's framework separating Needs, Beliefs, Principles, Values — rigorously.
Why it matters: The 2C$ document conflates values and principles in places. This is a methodological gap.
The four distinctions:
